The Remuera Business Association has a collective contract with Matrix Security that includes random foot patrols through the town centre on weekdays, weekends and after business hours. Matrix vehicle patrols regularly pass through Remuera day and night, and are on the lookout for suspicious activity. Individual alarm monitoring is not part of the RBA’s contract with Matrix Security.
RBA members can phone Matrix at any time to report a security incident and a patrol will be dispatched. Phone 579 1567 and state clearly that you are “calling from the Remuera Business Association”.
If a crime or other incident is taking place and there is immediate threat of serious harm to person or property you should phone 111 in the first instance.
The Remuera Business Association operates a Text Alert system to let businesses know quickly of any suspicious or criminal activity in the Remuera town centre. RBA members can supply two mobile phone numbers to receive Text Alerts. If a business notices suspicious activity (eg. attempted or actual shoplifting) they should contact the RBA quickly by phone or email with a brief description of the incident and people involved. The RBA will then send a short Text Alert so all businesses are aware.
